Two 40-mg pantoprazole tablets were triturated to a powder. Three 100-mg samples of the powder were mixed with 2.5 mL of 8.4% sodium bicarbonate in sterile water for irrigation.

Thirty-four pantoprazole tablets were ground and dispersed in 680 mL of 4.2% sodium bicarbonate solution.
