Sri Lanka legendary speedster Lasith Malinga who is currently with Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) as a bowling coach, has reacted to a video where Virat Kohli was spotted having a banter with Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan by taking his name in the first Test match between India and Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The stump mic captured Virat Kohli referring to Shakib Al Hasan as 'Malinga'. Sri Lanka legend Lasith Malinga has now reacted to the video of the incident.

Virat Kohli used Lasith Mainga's name to tease Shakib al Hasan during the second day's play of the first Test match between India and Bangladesh. The video has also reached Malinga, who has shared a two-word post in response.

On Day 2 of the Test the Bangladesh spinner bowled constant yorkers to Virat Kohli due to which Kohli referred to him as 'Malinga', this was captured by the stump mic.

In the second innings, Kohli seemed good but spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz came out and took his wicket on the score of 17 runs off 37 balls with two fours.

Virat Kohli's brief stint in the second innings of the first Test against Bangladesh featured a lighthearted exchange with Shakib Al Hasan. Kohli, who scored 17 runs, humorously compared Shakib to Lasith Malinga for his yorker deliveries.

Malinga's reaction comes after Kohli 'called out' Shakib for bowling couple of yorkers to him like the former Sri Lankan.
