Here’s the latest path forecast for Tropical Storm Chantal, which is expected to form this weekend off the Carolina coast.

Danas was a tropical storm in the East China Sea early Tuesday Taiwan time, the Joint Typhoon Warning Center said in its latest advisory. Typhoon season is year-round; however, most typhoons form from early July through mid-December.
