Oregon, Georgia, Miami and BYU lead the way in the first projected College Football Playoff bracket of the 2024 season. The first round of CFP Rankings were released on Tuesday, giving the nation its first look at how the College Football Playoff Selection Committee evaluates the field under the new 12-team format.

Ohio State is at No. 2 as its only loss came at Oregon in a 32-31 thriller. It's very possible the Ducks and Buckeyes could meet again in the Big Ten championship game, but Indiana will have a say in that. The Hoosiers visit Columbus on Nov. 23 in a game that could serve as a semifinal of sorts for the conference title game.

It's a well-earned spot in the first CFP rankings after what Louisville was able to accomplish this past Saturday. Heading into Death Valley, the Cardinals dominated then-No. 11 Clemson for a majority of the night, securing their first ever win over the Tigers with a resounding 33-21 victory.
