Images filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office portray two new versions of the biggest Benz in coupe form, suggesting they could well be on sale soon. The coupe and cabriolet version of the S-Class were axed in 2021 with no plans for further series production.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class stands as the German marque's flagship, but it's been without the option of a coupe and convertible variant for almost five years. That may soon change though, with US publication Car and Driver uncovering trademarks filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) which show off a two-door S-Class.

New trademark filings hint at the possible return of the S-Class Coupe, potentially as part of a limited Mythos series or a bespoke coachbuilt project.

Mercedes knows this, which is why the SLC, S-Class Coupe/Convertible, and AMG GT Convertible are all dead. It also merged the C-Class and E-Class Coupe/Convertible into the new CLE. But what if you want a big Benz with two doors?
