Thousands of homes remain without power and travel disruption is continuing in Scotland in the aftermath of Storm Eowyn, which swept across the country on Friday.

Thousands of homes are still without power days after Storm Éowyn caused destruction across Scotland. Scottish Power Energy Networks, which supplies central and southern Scotland, said 3,000 properties were still waiting to be reconnected on Monday evening.

Ireland has called in help from England and France to restore power to hundreds of thousands of people after the most disruptive storm for years.
