A federal appeals court has struck down the FTC’s ‘Click to Cancel’ rule just days before it was set to take effect.

The rule, unveiled by the Federal Trade Commission in the Biden era, would have made it easier to cancel subscriptions and was due to be enforced from July 14.

The FTC’s "click-to-cancel" rule would have required companies to make canceling a subscription as simple as signing up. But a federal appeals court blocked the policy days before it could take effect.
