Karla Sofia Gascón, the Oscar-nominated lead of the movie “Emilia Pérez,” is apologizing for her old social media posts that denigrated Islam and that called George Floyd “a drug addict and a hustler.

The 'Emilia Perez' star is under fire for online declarations suggesting that the religion should be banned and that Floyd was a "hustler and drug dealer."

The actress stated that “Islam is becoming a hotbed of infection for humanity that urgently needs to be cured” and described Muslims as “a DEEP DISGUSTING HUMANITY.”
