Up to 436 bus routes could be affected as bus drivers walk off the job in Brisbane amid a pay dispute with the city council.

Up to 436 bus routes were set to be affected by the action; however, no disruptions to school services were expected. Brisbane City Council brought in other drivers not participating in the strike.

Changes are coming for Port Authority riders next month. It involves the consolidation of hundreds of stops on more than 30 routes.
