Atalanta have outperformed their expectations in the Champions League this season and will now make one final push in their last league-phase game at Barcelona to seal an automatic knockout spot, manager Gian Piero Gasperini said on Tuesday.

Barcelona have been one of the best sides in the competition so far, winning six of seven games and owning a tournament-best plus-15 goal differential. Their 18 points are second only to Liverpool, who have remained perfect through seven matchdays.

Barcelona host Atalanta in their final game of the Champions League league phase aiming to overtake Liverpool for the top spot in the standings.
