Syfy is canceling Being Human after its fourth season. The NBCUniversal-owned cable network made the official announcement Tuesday, midway through the show’s current 13-episode run.

Mitchell (the BBC vampire) and Aidan (the Syfy vampire, who has the same name as the BBC’s actor) both treat their need to suck blood more like a sex addiction.

In the Syfy remake, Aidan, the courtly vampire, can drink donated blood, but it makes his use of his powers, including significantly enhanced strength and memory manipulation, less than reliable.
