(CNN) — More than 90% of samples of a dozen fruits and vegetables tested positive for potentially harmful pesticide residues, according to the 2025 Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides in Produce.

Also in this year’s report, spinach topped strawberries to finish in the No. 1 spot on the Dirty Dozen list. The leafy green has more pesticides by weight than any other type of produce this year.
