Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has suffered a setback in his recovery from an Achilles tendon rupture, further clouding his future with the team.

Berry said it’s “too early to tell” if Watson can play in 2025 after Watson told doctors during the quarterback’s end-of-the-season physical that “something didn’t feel right” in his repaired ankle. Berry said the team is still gathering details on the injury.

Although Deshaun Watson has left much to be desired in head coach Kevin Stefanski's offensive system, he is under contract for two more years. It would be wise to draft a quarterback and sign a veteran, but it may be hard to pass on the best player in the draft altogether.
