Chavas Lee Rhodes, 30, was arrested during early morning hours of July 1 for allegedly shooting a family dog and attempting to kidnap two of his children.

His family adopted its first dog at Fuzzy Friends, a pug-rat terrier mix “that looked like a science experiment,” Brown said. His menagerie now features a German shepherd and a goldendoodle.
