Today Bloomberg reports that Constellation Energy Corp., the owner of the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant, plans to turn back on one of the plant's shuttered reactors. Microsoft has agreed to purchase 100 percent of the plant's output for the next 20 years to feed its power-hungry AI operations.

The Three Mile Island nuclear plant, home of the worst nuclear accident in U.S. history, would restart under a deal in which Microsoft purchases all its power.

The Global X Uranium ETF URA closed 4.1% higher, while the Sprott Uranium Miners ETF URNM climbed 3.7%, and the VanEck Uranium and Nuclear ETF NLR jumped 4.8%, FactSet data show.
