Coca-Cola Co.'s recent announcement that it will start producing the soft drink Sprite in clear instead of green bottles will make recycling easier. But climate groups say it's not enough.

Instead of the classic green plastic bottles, Sprite will now come in clear plastic bottles. The Swire Coca-Cola bottling plant in West Valley City began the change this week.

The Coca-Cola Company said they are taking “major steps to support a circular economy” for plastic packaging by getting rid of Sprite’s green bottles.
