If you’re in the spirit of doing good, what better day to give back than on National Random Acts of Kindness Day? The annual occasion on Feb. 17 is dedicated to doing good deeds for others.

On a rainy day in Chanthaburi, Thailand, one random act of kindness made all the difference. At a street crossing, a man in a wheelchair was getting drenched while waiting for the light to turn green.

The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation also has lists of kindness ideas, organized by work, community, environment, animals, strangers, kids, older people and more.

In June, 22-year-old Harrison Pawluk filmed himself staging a “random act of kindness,” giving a bunch of flowers to an older woman sitting alone in a Melbourne food court.
