Bosch has shown off an ebike prototype to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its drive unit system, used in bikes from brands like Raleigh, Kalkhoff and Riese & Muller.
German conglomerate Bosch announced on Monday at CES 2025 a new layer of theft prevention for its e-bike batteries: the ability to lock a battery through the company’s Flow+ app.
Bosch says that once the new software update is installed, eMTB mode will replace the existing “Sport” mode that has been a part of the drive system for a number of years.
Bosch eBike Systems has been a force in this steadily growing market. According to the Electric Bike Worldwide Report , there are 200 million electric bicycles ridden today.
