Toby the Tram’s backstory has been saved for future generations after the final Wisbech to Upwell Tramway Memento was unveiled.

Tobias, more commonly called Toby, was a small little tram engine who worked on his tram line with his faithful coach Henrietta. But hard times came, and the tram line shut down.

Toby is based on the J70 tram engine that ran on the line and appears in the books by Reverend Wilbert Awdry, who was also the one time vicar of the nearby village Emneth.
