Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Friday, January 10 after district officials re-evaluated the road and sidewalk conditions.

BALTIMORE -- Anne Arundel County saw a significant reduction in violent crime in 2024, according to police.

About half of the county’s budget typically goes to the Board of Education. This year, the school system received more than $1 billion of the county’s $2.3 billion budget, which included funding for staff and new schools.
