Hezbollah admits Israel dealt a severe blow with exploding pagers and walkie talkies, but neither side seems to heed U.S. calls to avoid a wider war.

Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV reported explosions in multiple areas of Lebanon, which it said were the result of walkie-talkies detonating.

Lebanese officials say Israel is to blame for the explosions. Hezbollah members had turned to pagers, believing they were more secure than phones. Israel has declined to comment.
