Mets first baseman Pete Alonso says that Dodgers veteran pitcher Clayton Kershaw has earned his spot among the best to wear Dodger blue.
But the Dodgers have to be pleased with franchise icon Clayton Kershaw, who has returned from the injured list to make 10 starts so far this year with an effective 3.38 ERA at age 37. However, it could be Kershaw's final season with the team.
Clayton Kershaw has reached 3,000 strikeouts, becoming the 20th pitcher to reach the milestone. He struck out Vinny Capra in the sixth inning during the Dodgers' 5-4 win over the Chicago White Sox.
