Lake-effect snow, low temperatures, gusting winds in store for Erie County
The National Weather Service in Cleveland forecast calls for 6 inches to 14 inches of snow in various parts of Erie County through early Thursday.

A lake effect snow warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 2:53 a.m. valid from Tuesday 1 a.m. until Thursday 1 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Lake Effect Snow Warning continues until early Thursday morning 4am for Southern Erie, Wyoming, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties, with 5 to 9 inches of additional snow accumulations in the most persistent bands, especially over the hills inland. Winds will also be gusty to 35 mph, resulting in blowing and drifting snow.
