In other good news, the Climate Prediction Center’s 6-10 day outlook has the area under a 60% chance of seeing above normal temperatures this final week of January and into the beginning of February.

Wednesday will feature lots of sunshine once again and pleasant temperatures. Highs will be into the low to mid-50s once again. Mostly clear skies will be around for the evening and overnight as we see temperatures turn very cold into the mid to upper 20s.

Wind Chill Factors will be well below zero, so if you do have to be outside Wednesday Morning, make sure you bundle up. In terms of cloud cover, we will stay mainly sunny for the day on Wednesday.

The extreme cold is firmly in the past. Today remains our best chance for snow for the rest of the week. A couple slick spots cannot be ruled out depending on how much snow your community picks up, but we have had much worse road conditions this Winter.

In the wake of an historic snowstorm on Tuesday, we are posting another First Alert Weather Day for Wednesday as the focus shifts to dangerous cold and travel.

By Thursday, we’ll see temperatures reaching the 30s, with forecasts indicating a return to the 40s by Saturday, although these still fall short of the average high of the mid-40s for this time of year.
