At the scene, the victim’s sedan could be seen mangled and the front of the suspect’s truck was heavily damaged. Debris from the vehicle was found near the scene.

HPD said the victim was trying to make a left turn before being struck by a pickup truck driver, who police said ran from the scene on foot.

Phoenix police are searching for the driver who was involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash Thursday night. The incident happened Thursday just before 7 p.m. near 16th and Dunlap avenues. Officials say a crash involved an unknown vehicle and 43-year-old Leandro Antonio.
