Penrith Panthers became the first team in six decades to win four straight National Rugby League titles on Sunday after beating rival Melbourne Storm 14-6 in front of 80,000 fans at Stadium Australia.

Melbourne and Penrith finished in the top two positions on the ladder after the regular season and will contest for the NRL premiership in a repeat of the 2020 grand final. The Panthers lost that day but have since claimed three premierships on the bounce to create a dynasty and will be looking to make it four in a row against the minor premiers.
