Top-ranked Jannik Sinner beat Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 at the ATP Finals on Tuesday in a rematch of the U.S. Open final that the Italian also won in straight sets.

In his most recent match on September 30, 2024, Sinner won 6-2, 7-6 over Jiri Lehecka in the quarterfinals of the China Open. In the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships (his last tournament), Fritz was taken down in the Round of 32 by No. 24-ranked Arthur Fils, 4-6, 6-3, 3-6.
