Nov 12, 2018 · Post-basegame. You can do Descent more comfortably than JoH any time after Haven, but I definitely wouldn't recommend going before 20, so as to get the best, highest level random loot. In terms of lore, it really doesn't matter. If you have with you, he has some extra dialogue on the DLCs.

It has incredibly good XP and crafting mats, including the only guaranteed Ring-Touched Plush Fustian Velvet in the game (S-tier crafting component that single-handedly makes builds work). Trespasser is different, though--that's post-game content.

Apr 29, 2021 · Chronological order: Leliana's Song -> A Tale of Orzammar -> Origins (Stone Prisonner, Warden's Keep, Return to Ostagar) -> Awakening -> Amgarrak -> Witch Hunt. Darkspawn Chronicles is a "what if" story that takes place during the climax of Origins. Stone Prisonner, I'd recommend doing early in Origins, because Shale is a damn good companion.
