Mar 19, 2008 · How can you edit an existing text layer in Photoshop CS (8.0)? Always before i have just been able to click on it, and the bounding box appeared, but now it won't. no matter how i try i create a new layer everytime and i am going crazy! i found some advice already, but none of it is working. please someone help. asap!

May 11, 2022 · My idea was to find a logo template and just edit its text. By @Reima15A9 . Once you have changed the font and saved the Smart Object, save the document as a PSD file, and use it as a new template going forward. You can simply edit the text as described after this.

Apr 27, 2011 · I have Photoshop CS4 on an iMac and suddenly my saved text layers were no longer editable. Exploring, I determined that there were being rasterized and I found the culprit. Go to Edit > Convert to Profile and make sure "Flatten Image to Preserve Appearance" is off. Save and restart and all shou ld be fine.

Oct 16, 2018 · Just installed Photoshop 2020 and the "OnCanvasClickToCommit 0" in the PSUserConfig.txt does not disable double click to edit text. It does disable Click to Commit – which is nice. Do you know how to disable double click to edit text in 2020. It's been driving my team crazy for a year now.

Aug 9, 2019 · You need to make the text 'paragraph text'. Select and activate the layer that contains your text from the layers palette. With the layer active, goto Type > Convert to Paragraph text. You should now be able to click into the text and see a bounding box that can be resized without resizing or rescaling the text inside.
