This is an all-Ikea adjustable height/angle desk which was stained and poly'd: Desktop Legs x2 ~$169.99 (Ikea Family price, free to sign up) before stain/poly. I ended up adding wooden pegs in the desktop and then drilled matching holes in the legs instead of permanently attaching the legs.

Feb 26, 2006 · I had a Jerker during college, and I can attest that it's the best damn desk! I recently went to Ikea to look at furniture, and while I was there I took a look at the desks. They have a "make your own desk" section where you can select from a variety of tabletops and leg configurations (some of which are even height adjustable!).

Metal sides: depth is 75.5cm 29.72in height is 144cm 56.7in. it can, however, be split in two pieces of 102.5cm 40.4in and 41.5cm 16.4in Desk: width 110cm 43.3in depth 74cm 29.13in If you want the measurements in inches then, 1 inch=2.54cm

Aug 5, 2010 · I'm in love with the Ikea GALANT desk (huge L-shaped desk with a large amount of work space/depth). However the nearest Ikea is six hours away and I cannot justify the $350+ shipping cost to ship a GALANT directly to me. So, I was wondering if any of you knew of some similar alternatives to the IKEA Galant.

Jan 4, 2008 · You should check out the Galant from Ikea. Very modular so you can design it to fit your space. I needed a very sturdy corner desk in order to hold my 96 lb CRT monitor (Sony GDM-FW900), and the Galant fit the bill nicely. Very well built (I have the T-leg model). I could easily add another FW900 and not worry about it being too much for the desk.

Feb 22, 2012 · 1) Is the veneer top rate? No, but the price isn't either. As for build quality, there is an "Ikea desk gallery" thread in this forum. It had well over 100 posts, many of them with pictures, and the Galant makes quite a showing. Looking at the pictures, I don't see much damage to the desks, so I'd say they hold up.

Jan 20, 2018 · I also went with adjustable height legs, which was important since this desk is for my kids (3 and 6) so we can play Minecraft together. It needed to be lower to the ground than a standard height desk. IKEA also has decent kid-sized task chairs. This desk will be able to grow with them, I'll just extend the legs as needed. Assembly is easy.

Sep 16, 2014 · I had a T-led break. The small part that is welded on the leg that holds the set screw for the height adjustment. I thing the weld itself broke. I was moving the desk away from the wall by picking up each end and rotating the desk. My desk is 110" wide supported by two T-legs, I guess the stress was a bit too much.

May 16, 2010 · I did some searching and found multiple measurements for the main jerker desk panel. I'm going to pick one up and need to see if it will fit in my car. I'm wondering if someone with the desk can measure their desk for me. I've found 2 measurements, 43.3"x29.13" and 47.5"x36". Thanks for any help!
