Construction officially began on January 25, 2008 as old UA dorms were torn down and city streets were allowed to be closed.

Nov 12, 2023 · Replacement for the Rubber Bowl came in 2009 with InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field which signaled a return to campus for Akron. The naming rights of the stadium are shared by InfoCision Management Corporation and Summa Health System. The concession options at InfoCision Stadium are fairly limited.

The gates to InfoCision Stadium open 60 minutes prior to kickoff and fans are encouraged to arrive early and allow extra time for parking and gaining entrance to the facility.

Nov 15, 2015 · Opened in 2009 on the campus of the University of Akron, it was built to replace the off-campus, aging, 1940’s era Rubber Bowl and is a wonderful, modern facility that holds up to 30,000 spectators for football. Concessions are reasonably priced, as is parking, and access is easy via Highway 8 from Interstates 76/77.
