He played college football for the Oregon State Beavers, and was selected in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Chiefs. He has also played in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Houston Texans. Nelson attended Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia.
