Nov 30, 2022 · The Sonic OVA is pretty fucked for quality and here’s why. The Japanese version was only ever released in two parts on VHS. The ADV version was released on DVD, so you’d think that would be the version to get. However a year or so ago Bandai released a new film scan or some kind of new version BUT they only released it for mobile.

I like the OVA one the best. Sonic's not going to have pay to live in what is essentially a scrap heap, and I'm sure Tails and he managed to make it furnished (there is the scene where Tails and Knuckles are on call with the president, that's inside the plane iirc). It's out and remote where Sonic won't be bothered unless it's an emergency.

Edit: Then again I haven' watched it in a while, but the second time I watched it when I was old enough to start forming opinions based on experience with watching animated shows, I didn't enjoy what watched.
