The Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (also known as the Teddy Roosevelt Bridge, Roosevelt Bridge, or T.R. Bridge) is a bridge crossing the Potomac River which connects Washington, D.C., with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The Roosevelt Bridge connects Washington D.C. and Virginia, carrying Interstate 66/U.S. Route 50 traffic over Theodore Roosevelt Island and the Potomac River. The idea for a new bridge across the Potomac River was introduced in the early 1950s. The bridge was named in honor of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States.

Theodore Roosevelt Bridge was completed in 1964 and carries Interstate 66 & U.S. Route 50 across the Potomac River. This steel and concrete causeway connects Virginia and Washington, D.C. by going over Theodore Roosevelt Island.

The bridge consists of two units, one that spans from Washington DC across the Potomac River to Theodore Roosevelt Island and a second unit that spans from Theodore Roosevelt Island across the Little River to Arlington, VA.

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has submitted preliminary plans to rehabilitate the Theodore Roosevelt (TR) Bridge, which carries Interstate 66 traffic between Washington DC and Arlington, Virginia.

The bridge is raised up over Theodore Roosevelt Island which is a small 89 acre island that faces the Roosevelt Bridge on the south end, and faces Key Bridge and Georgetown on the north end. The Bridge is named for Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States.
