Apr 7, 2013 · I mainly choose the 93 octane since I believe it has a chance of lasting a bit longer in storage before causing problems on a tractor that sits around a lot. 93 octane is usually less likely to have as much ethonal in it as 87 octane has. I try to avoid ethonal if I can for tractors and 2-cycle stuff too.

Perkins, Hercules, and, once again, Continental, engines were utilized in following Cockshutt models, as the Buda supply was used up.

Mar 22, 2013. #1. Mark, My daughters first car was a 90 Dodge spirit with a 3.0 L mitsubishi that dropped exhaust valve guides and sucked the oil out the exhaust. Engine never burned the oil, but it made a heck of a smoke screen. At that time, quacker state had an ad showing a car with synthetic oil in it.

Mar 20, 2011 · I've used Pennzoil 15/40 in my diesels (trucks and tractors) for as long as I can remember, with NO issues. That includes a couple older tractors with (in excess of) 15,000hrs (on original motor) The earth is round, the moon is NOT made of green cheese, and 15/40 diesel rated multi-weight oil is the best thing for diesel engines, new OR old.

Oct 13, 2024 · The organization, Farmamerica, has 15 tractors, mostly donated. Not all 15 are in these pictures. The Twin City is the oldest from 1926, The Schafer (4WD) is the newest from 1964. The threshing machine is a 22 inch McCormick Deering set up with the Twin City for display only, but the machine is fully capable of threshing.

Oct 26, 2012. #1. Looking for horsepower output info re the Ford industrial 4 cylinder engines - 134, 172, 192, 220 and 240/242 cid - gas and diesel. They were used in log skidders in the early to mid 60's and would likely have a higher power rating than for those used in farm tractors. Anything you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott.

One of the most widely used engines from Deere. It is capable of upwards of 300 hp, used in models such as 9570 combine and SP sprayers.
