TADD is a National Weather Service campaign to warn people of the hazards of walking or driving a vehicle through flood waters. Several counties in Eastern Oklahoma have Turn Around Don't Drown signs posted at locations where flash flooding often leads to water over the roads.
This triggered several rounds of thunderstorms that trained along and north of the front boundary. Over 6 inches of rain fell in some areas, resulting in widespread flash and river flooding from Humphreys County eastward across the southern Nashville metro area all the way over to Cumberland County.

As ice or debris moves downstream, it may get caught on any sort of obstruction to the water flow. When this occurs, water can be held back, causing upstream flooding. When the jam finally breaks, flash flooding can occur downstream. Typically, an ice jam is resolved when the ice melts.
