Smoking ribs and chicken together in electric smoker - ok idea?
May 24, 2019 · For Sunday's family get-together, I will be smoking three racks of St. Louis ribs in my Masterbuilt 30 ANALOG electric smoker. I cut each rack in half and use those upright rib holders, which work very well in my experience. I will use only dry rub, no sauce, and the 3-2-1 method at about 250F.

I then raise temperature to maximum, and continue smoking until the meat temperature is at least 205-210 degrees. My reading and experience indicates.

Jan 4, 2018 · Not sure if you know the 3-2-1 method, if you do, don't use on ribs, they always come up overdone at 225*F. What I do is and my son now does with his Silverbac Grilla Grill is a 2-1-1 method. 2-1-1. Smoke for 2hrs @225*F. Wrap in foil for 1hr. Unwrap and brush on your sauce and cook @ 250*F 1hr.

Feb 16, 2018 · Normally I do pork ribs but I found a good deal on some beef ribs today and picked them up. I have a Smoke Hollow Electric Smoker and for pork ribs I usually do 2-2-1. Would I do the same for beef ribs?

Oct 11, 2011 · I looked at the smoker images and didn't see a water pan in the stock unit, so wondered if you used a drip pan above the heating unit. I get good bark on no foiled smokes, regardless of the smoker I use, in temp ranges from 220-240*, as long as a water/drip pan isn't too close to the meat.

Mark you it is a guideline and you may adjust it more to your taste after doing it once or twice, but I am sure you will love the results.

Jun 23, 2006 · Doug, time and time again I hear people stating that they are having trouble keeping the temperature up in their electric smoker. I'm sure not all electrics have this problem. If you are truly getting 250* then I would recommend cutting the 3-2-1 times down a bit, maybe 2.5 - 1.5 - 1, as the hotter temperatures will cook the meat faster.

Every hour I sprayed them with apple juice and made sure I had plenty of water in the smoker. After unwrapping them at hour five, I sauced and cooked them for another hour.
