Dec 4, 2011 · Test the depth of your detector on a dime in all metal and then turn the discrimination all the way up and test it. Pretty much the same depth with the exception of a few detectors. I do understand the thought process behind less discrimination is better, but I don't believe depth is the reason.

Jan 9, 2012 · It’s a great detector, with a few things that could be improved. Every metal detector has its faults, and the Manticore is no exception. Overall, it’s exactly what I expected it to be. No regrets with this purchase. I have no ties with Minelab and whether or not you buy this detector doesn't affect me what-so-ever.
